JAMES ANDERSON, JR.
ADA-Memorial services for James Earl Anderson, Jr., 72, of Ada, will be held Saturday, November 22, 2014 at 12:00 Noon at the Ada Elks Lodge.
Mr. Anderson died Monday, November 10, 2014 at a local hospital. He was born March 21, 1942 in Seminole, Oklahoma to James Earl Anderson, Sr. and Ruby Rhodes Anderson. He was a lifelong resident of the Ada area and graduated from Byng High School.
He married Demoine Smith on July 11, 1962 in Ada. Mr. Anderson was a design welder and fabricator for Spencer Machine Shop in Ada until his retirement. He was later a self-employed welder. He was of the Baptist faith and a member of the Sheperd's Chapel in Gravitt, AR. Mr. Anderson was a hunter and fisherman.
Survivors include his wife, Demoine Anderson, of the home; four daughters, Margie Shaw and husband Ronald of Francis, Jennifer Jussely and husband Martin of Francis, Melissa Anderson of Ada, and Michael Wilson and husband Darren of Camden, AR; seven grandchildren, Brigette Adams, Shanna Shaw-McNutt, James Jussely, Kristina Belcher, Coty Dildine, Michael Wilson and Mariah Wilson; ten great grandchildren; four sisters, Norma Swink and Shirley Edmondson, both of Port Isabel, TX, Betty Hisaw and Linda Manuel, both of Ada; numerous nieces and nephews; honorary son and daughter, Karen and Steven Dunnigan; and honorary grandsons, J. D. and Taylor Dunnigan.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
