JACK PHELPS
ADA-Graveside services for Jack Adelle Phelps, 85, of Ada, are 10 a.m. Tuesday at Rosedale Cemetery, Harold Ware will officiate. The Chickasaw Honor Guard will conduct military honors at the cemetery.
Mr. Phelps died Wednesday, April 4, 2012, at a Broken Arrow nursing home. He was born January 21, 1927, in Pottawatomie County to W. M. and Allie Lee Pfaff Phelps. He attended Ada schools and graduated from Ada High School.
Mr. Phelps was a painter until his retirement and he had served in the U. S. Navy during World War II. He was a proud member of the Chickasaw Tribe.
Survivors include a niece, Ann Kinsey; a great niece, Kim Jonfton; great nephew, Davie Don Brecheen; and two cousins, Bob Phelps and Kenny Phelps, both of Durant.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Edward E. Phelps; and a nephew, Eddie Don Phelps.
