JACK NELSON
ADA-Graveside services for Jack Maynor Nelson, 78, Ada, are 11:00 a.m. Monday at Memorial Park Cemetery, Rev. Bob Langston will officiate.
Mr. Nelson died Thursday, May 5, 2011 at an Antlers, OK hospital. He was born October 21, 1932 in Hayworth, Oklahoma to Rudy E. and India Ermine Dukes Nelson. He attended grade school in Smithville and later he and his family moved to Ada in 1944. He graduated from Ada High School in 1950 and attended East Central University.
Mr. Nelson was a Safeway Grocery Store employee here in Ada for many years. He was a former member of the Asbury United Methodist Church and had served in the U. S. Army from August 9, 1956 to July 24, 1958.
Survivors include a brother, Max Nelson, Carrollton, TX ; two nephews, Mike G. Nelson, Orlando, FL, and Gary M. Nelson, Carrollton, TX.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Jacqueline Richey in 2005.
