J T TATUM

ADA-Services for J T Tatum, 70, Ada, are 2:00 p.m. Monday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Frank Trent will officiate. Burial will follow at Egypt Cemetery.

Mr. Tatum died Monday, November 19, 2007 at a local nursing home. He was born March 9, 1937 at Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Clarence and Ruth Lorene Miller Tatum. He and his family moved to this area when he was a child.

He married Verna Louise McAnally on January 3, 1957 at Ada, Oklahoma. Mr. Tatum was the owner and operator of Tatum Hot Roofing for over 38 years, retiring in 2003. He was a member of the Holiness faith.

Survivors include his wife, Verna Tatum, of the home; three sons, Jessie Tatum and wife Marsha, Ada, Michael J T Tatum and wife Susan, Ada, and James Edward Tatum, Ada; a daughter, Patti Hill and husband Mark, Fitzhugh; a brother, Jimmy Tatum, Ada, and a sister, Maudie Jones, Ada; ten grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; and other loving relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Ricky Gene Tatum, three grandsons, J. J. Tatum, Jr., David Jason Hill, and Daniel Tatum, a granddaughter, Mary Grace Hill; and two sisters, Mary Ruth Smith and Nadine Summers.

Bearers will be Cody Tatum, Rowdy Hill, Chad Tatum, Jimmy Tatum, Jr., Jonathan Tatum, and Mike Tatum.
