CHRIS LONG

ADA-Services for Ira Christopher "Chris" Long, 48, Ada, are 2:30 p.m. Monday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Kendall Martin officiating. Burial follows at Rosedale Cemetery.

Mr. Long died on Friday, February 20, 2009, at an Allen nursing home. He was born July 28, 1960, in Ada to Junior and Vida Joyce Dollison Long. He attended Irving school in Ada and later earned his GED. He was a truck driver and mechanic, and affiliated with the Church of God of Prophecy. He served in the U. S. Army.

Survivors include his mother, Joyce Williams, Ada; three sons, Larry Long, Indiana; Dale Long, Tucson, Arizona; and Kitt Long, Oklahoma City; two daughters, Staci McCaulley, Oklahoma City and Vicki Jane Long, Ada; a step-son, Shane Buchanan, Alabama; one brother, Jon Long, Stringtown; one sister, Joy Embry and her husband John, Galey; one granddaughter, Emily Willow, Tennessee; one uncle, Frankie Dollison, Texas; aunts, Alta Miller, Florida, Sandra Dollison and husband Gene, Sharon Williams and husband Grady, Joy Jackson, Penny Dollison, and Terry Dugan and husband Ronnie, all of Texas, Clarice Stone, Ada, and Linda Phillips, Roff; nephews, Randell McDaniel and Coty Embry; and numerous cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father, Junior Long; step-father, Leonard Williams; two aunts, Earma Lee Ramsey and Delorice Jones; uncles, Alford, Leston, Harold and Tommy Long, and grandparents, Johnny and Othel Dollison and Mary and Charley Long.

Bearers are Shannon Miller, Mike Wheat, Carl Long, Dennis Wheat, Kitt Long and John Embry.
