Services for Ina Marie Crabtree, 86 of Stonewall are 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Central Church of Christ, Danny Stewart and Bob Griffin will officiate. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery near Stonewall. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Monday at Criswell Funeral Home.
Mrs. Crabtree passed away Thursday, December 15, 2016 at a local nursing home. She was born January 13, 1930 at Franks to Dee and Lee Sherrell Griffin. She attended school at Franks and McLish and graduated from Fitzhugh High School in 1947.
She married John Ray "Buck" Crabtree December 31, 1952. He preceded her in death January 1, 2014. Mrs. Crabtree kept the circulation records for the Ada Evening News for almost thirty years. She retired in 1990 after working ten years as a deputy county clerk. Mrs. Crabtree was also an election worker for the Fittstown precinct for many years. She was a longtime member of the Fittstown Church of Christ.
Marie had a life- long love of music. She, Burl and Gail were all musically inclined and provided their own entertainment. She played guitar, piano and wrote songs occasionally. In 1997, she entered the Tulsa Centennial song contest. She was recognized for third place at a banquet for top ten winners.
Survivors include a daughter, Beth Crabtree of Byng; a son, Todd Crabtree and wife Joy of Byng; two granddaughters, Elisabeth Seitz and husband C. J. of Edmond and Laura Crabtree and Seth Gray of Tulsa; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by three brothers and their wives, Guy and Orene Griffin, Burl and June Griffin and Gail and Carrie Griffin.
Bearers will be Michael Scott, Matt Robertson, Shane Graham, Eldon Griffin, Bob Griffin and Jerry Winters.
