ALLEN-Services for Imogene "Jean" Ball, 81, Ada, are 10:00 a.m. Monday at the Richmond Avenue Free Will Baptist Church, Rev. Buddy Drake will officiate. Burial will follow at the Allen Cemetery.
Mrs. Ball died Friday, October 31, 2008 at a local nursing home. She was born February 13, 1926 at Mulberry, Arkansas. She attended school in Mountianburg, Arkansas. She moved to the Allen area in 1979 from Gallup, New Mexico.
She married Gurney A. Ball in June 1965 at Las Vegas, Nevada. He preceded her in death on March 23, 2004 in Allen. Mrs. Ball worked as a homemaker, a cook for Woodland Hills Nursing Home in Allen and later a cook for the Nutrition Center of Allen. She was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include four sons, Bob Jones and wife Kay, Ada, Larry Jones and wife Linda, Texarkana, TX, Danny Osburne and wife Patty, Mt. View, AR, and Dennis Osburne and wife Melinda, Decatur AR; and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and cousins.
Bearers are Del Tollett, Anthony Pelts, Scott Jones, David Jones, Tommy Watkins and Donnie Watkins.
