HUBERT PHILLIPS
ADA-Services for Hubert Phillips, 86, Ada, are 2:00 P.M. Friday at the Criswell Chapel, Revs. Joe Dixon and Dale Cunningham officiating. Burial follows at Rosedale Cemetery.
Mr. Phillips died on Tuesday, October 25, 2011, in Ada. He was born June 10, 1925, in Francis to William P. and Etta Bond Phillips. He attended school and graduated from Francis School. He lived in this area all his life. He worked at Ada Iron and metal for several years, and at British Oxygen Company until retirement. His hobbies were fishing and watching sports. He was of the Baptist faith.
He married June Myers on April 22, 2002, in Sherman, Texas.
Survivors include his wife, June Phillips, of the home; step-daughter, Lynda June Brown and husband Rodney, Stonewall; step-son, Steven Lloyd Godfrey, Byng; niece, Ann Wheeler and husband Gene, Moore; one brother, Ralph Phillips and wife Virginia, Colorado; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents; 4 brothers, Glen Phillips, Woodrow Phillips, William "Bill" Phillips and Ray Phillips; twin brother who died as an infant, Herbert Phillips; and two sisters, Elma Sachs and Clara Mae Meaders.
Bearers are Ron Brown, Jamiee Anderson, John Goza, John Green, Rodney Brown and Craig Thompson.
