HUBERT HARRISON

ADA-Services for Hubert Wayne Harrison, 66, Ada, are 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, George Peterson and Charles Pruitt will officiate. Burial will follow at New Bethel Cemetery in Byng.

Mr. Harrison died Friday, January 18, 2008 at a local hospital. He was born August 31, 1941 at El Reno, Oklahoma to Ira Byron and Alice May Lewis Harrison. The family moved to Foss, Oklahoma, and in 1945 moved to Elk City. He attended Elk City schools and graduated from Elk City High School.

He married Carol Ann Shutter on January 11, 1964. He and his wife moved to Ada in December 1969 where he managed Reeves feedlot before building the Braly feedlot. They later became involved in their own oilfield business.

Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Carol Harrison, of the home; two sons, Byron Wayne Harrison, Charleston, South Carolina, and Robert Dee Harrison and wife Staci, Ada; one grandson, Devyn Harrison, Ada; two sisters, Irene Harrison, St. Petersburg, Florida, and Esther Harrison, Ada; and many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Ira Byron Harrison in August, 1962, and his mother, Alice May Harrison in April 2006.

Bearers will be Chad Staubus, Bill Deaton, Lyle Henderson, Tom Brewer, Doug Harrington, and Stewart Johnson. Honorary bearers will be Billy White and Al Martin.
