HELEN STONE
ADA-Services for Helen Fae Stone, 97, Ada, are 2:00 p.m. Monday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Jerry Wells, Dr. Rusty Fuller, and Rev. David Gray will officiate. Burial will follow at Rosedale Cemetery.
Mrs. Stone died Thursday, January 6, 2011 at a Stonewall nursing home. She was born March 16, 1913 in Chickasha, Oklahoma to Frank and Agnes Ersland Schuessler. She attended Verden schools and graduated from Verden High School.
She married Grover Stone on August 8, 1931. He preceded her in death on October 5, 1985. Mrs. Stone was the Administrator at Ballard Nursing Home for many years. She was a longtime active member of Trinity Baptist Church since 1943, where she taught Sunday school and sang in the choir.
Survivors include a daughter, Carolyn Pittman, Ada; a son, Stephen Stone, Ada; four grandchildren, Jeff Gibson and his wife Vicki, Becky Bennett, Karen Morris and her husband Philip, and Kevin Gibson and his wife Denise; 10 great grandchildren; and 1 great great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Linda Henderson; two sisters, Frances Baldwin and Alice Brents; and three brothers, Frank Schuessler, Jr., Raymond Schuessler, and Charles Schuessler.
Bearers will be Philip Morris, Philip A. Morris, Bodie Marion, Bruce Brents, Patrick Bennett, David Musgrave, Jeff Gibson and Kevin Gibson.
