ALLEN-Services for Helen Nadine Sanders, 88, of Allen are 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Buddy Drake will officiate. Burial will follow at the Allen Cemetery.
Mrs. Sanders died Monday, October 28, 2013 at an Allen nursing home. She was born August 18, 1925 in Scipio, Oklahoma to Odis and Mary Elizabeth Motes Mitchell. She attended Allen Schools.
She married Lloyd T. Sanders on September 20, 1942. He preceded her in death on June 19, 1999. Mrs. Sanders was a caretaker for the McCall's Chapel School for 18 years. She was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Allen.
Survivors include a son, Tommy Sanders and his wife Carolyn of Allen; six grandchildren, Billy Monday and his wife Linda of Stonewall, Steven Monday of Calvin, Shelby Holder and husband David of Allen, Carly Warrick and husband Will of Meeker, Keri Vella and husband Chris of Edmond, and Tracy Sanders of Allen; 12 great grandchildren; one sister, Eva Mae Frederick of Allen; two brothers, Kenneth Mitchell and wife Betty and Harold Mitchell and wife Janell, all of Allen; and 3 nieces and 3 nephews.
Bearers will be Billy Monday, Dillon Monday, Steven Monday, Austin Holder, Levi Howard and Ed Smith.
