HELEN ANNE PARRISH
ADA-Graveside services for Helen Anne Parrish, 72, of Ada, are 10:00 a.m. Saturday at Memorial Park Cemetery. Gale Izard will officiate.
Ms. Parrish died Tuesday, August 19, 2014 at a local hospital. She was born June 11, 1942 in Ada, Oklahoma to William F. and Emeline Dawson Parrish. She attended Ada schools and graduated from Ada High School in 1960. She attended East Central University and the University of Oklahoma where she studied Art.
Ms. Parrish was a Clothing Illustrator in Denver, CO for The May Company, which later became Macy's Department Store. She later served as an illustrator, publicist and assistant to the manager of the U. S. Olympic Biathalon Team. She was a care-giver for several older persons and was an artist.
Survivors include two brothers, W. F. Parrish, Jr. and his wife Ann of Ardmore, and Philip Parrish and his wife Marti of Scottsdale, AZ; a nephew, Wayne Parrish and his wife Kate of Norman; and three nieces, Dr. Debra Anne Brummett of Minnesota, Laurie Ann Prall of Bellingham, WA, and Lynn Parrish of Arvada, CO.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Berry Parrish; and a nephew, David Parrish.
