HELEN MIDDLETON

ADA-Services for Helen Kathleen Cooper Middleton, 89, Kennedale, TX are 2:00 p.m. Thursday at the First Baptist Church of Kennedale, Rev. Thomas R. Beddow will officiate. Burial will follow at Sardis Cemetery in Midlothian, Texas.

Mrs. Middleton died Monday, December 31, 2007 at a local hospital. She was born January 18, 1916 at Caddo Mills, Texas to Charles Preston and Carrie Lelia Gary Cooper. She attended Caddo Mills, Texas elementary schools and graduated from Central High School in Ft. Worth, Texas. She moved to Ada in 2000 from Kennedale, Texas.

She married Thomas B. Middleton on June 1, 1940 at Britton, Texas. He died July 1, 1976 at Kennedale. During World War II, Mrs. Middleton worked in the war effort at North American Aircraft. She was a homemaker and also worked at Striplings for 42 years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Kennedale for over 77 years, where she worked in the youth department, and was also a member of the Order of Eastern Star.

Survivors include two daughters, Tommie Jean Beddow and husband Tommy, Ada, and JoAnn Cooper and husband Mike, Henderson, Texas; step-son, David B. Middleton and wife Betty, Kennedale, Texas; eight grandchildren, Laurie Sanders and husband Ray, Linda Stroncek and husband Chris, Pat Gurun and husband David, Michael Cooper, Jimmy Cooper, Troy Cooper and wife Kimberly, Kenneth Beddow and wife Elisabeth, and Kelli Miller and husband Vincent; 17 great grandchildren; and four great great grandchildren.

Bearers will be her grandsons, Michael L. Cooper, Jimmy C. Cooper, Kenneth B. Beddow, Troy B. Cooper, Vincent J. Miller, and Stephen M. Miller. Honorary bearers will be G. A. Walker, Gary R. Cooper, and Roy J. Cooper.
