Helen Klutts

Services for Helen Lorene Klutts, 96, of Ada are 2:00 Wednesday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Earl Hood will officiate. Burial will follow at Vamoosa Cemetery.

Mrs. Klutts passed away Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at her home. She was born January 21, 1922 in Konawa to Bose Wan and Ina Belle Ingram Murray. She graduated from Konawa High School where she was a star basketball player.

She married Lloyd Douglas Klutts on July 6, 1941 in Konawa. He preceded her in death in 2001. Mrs. Klutts was a model, and a homemaker. Helen was a Christian and she and her sister were baptized on the same day at the Konawa Baptist Church. Helen was a member of the "Tuesday Club" and bowling leagues. She played bridge and helped all her neighbors and friends. She was a great cook, baker and grew hundreds of kinds of flowers and a vegetable garden. Helen was always smiling and had a kind and giving heart.

Her daughter, Kate says, "She was a lucky woman to have had Helen as her mother".

Survivors include her daughter, Kate Boothe of Ada; two sisters, Pauline Spencer of Ada and Lenora Algood of Moore; one brother, Bill Murray of Norman; one grandson, Shawn Douglas Hughes of Grants Pass, OR; three great-grandchildren, Keric Douglas Hughes-Lane, Dillan Douglas Hughes and Autumn Grace Crandall; five great great-grandchildren, Ella Hughes-Lane, Olivia Hughes-Lane, Olivia Crandall, Isabella & Trinity Crandall; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Lloyd Klutts; three brothers, Winford Murray, Jack Murray and Don Murray; and two sisters, Juanita Hunt and Ruth Gideon.
