ADA-Graveside services for Helen Ruth Fike, 88, Ada, are 2 p.m. Monday at Memorial Park Cemetery, Rev Earl Hood officiating.
Mrs. Fike died Saturday, Oct. 22, 2011, at an Ada nursing center. She was born Aug. 31, 1923, to Charley H. and Nellie Lamarr Garrett, at Fort Sill, Oklahoma. She attended Bebee and Vanoss schools and had lived in California several years where she worked for Skippy Peanut Butter Company and Nabisco. Mrs. Fike was a life member of D.A.V. Auxiliary, Chapter #40.
She and Kenneth C. Fike were married in 1943. He died in 1990.
Survivors include a daughter, Judy Choate and husband Loren, Ada; one granddaughter, Tonya Lawson and husband Jay, Yukon; one great-granddaughter, Kelsey Lawson, Oklahoma City; and one sister, Jimmie Tadin, California.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, June Henry; her brother, Charles Garrett; and her half-brother, Vernon Garrett.
