ADA-Services for Helen Cooper, 94, of Ada, are 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Covenant Cumberland Presbyterian Church, Revs. Linda Snelling and Norlan Scrudder will officiate. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Cooper died Monday, May 14, 2012 at a local hospital. She was born August 22, 1917 in Stratford, Oklahoma to Grover and Flora Stevenson Lovelace. She and her family moved to this area from Stonewall and she attended Latta schools.
She married Herbert Cooper on March 16, 1935. He preceded her in death on August 18, 1975. Mrs. Cooper was a homemaker and a sales lady for the Junior Shop, J. C. Penney's, and Forget-Me-Not Floral. She retired in 1982 after 24 years with Gem Jewelers. She was a member of Covenant Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Kay Jackson and husband Leon of Coalgate, and Judy Brummett and husband David of Paris, TX; two grandchildren, Mark Jackson and wife Michana of Blanchard, and James Jackson and wife Sherry of Hinton; and three great grandchildren, Tyler Jackson, Oklahoma City, Taylor Jackson, Ada and Kolt Jackson, Hinton.
The family says those who wish may make memorials to the charity of choice.
