Helen Breeden

Services for Helen Ruth Breeden, 77, of Norman are 2:00 p.m. Monday, August 12, 2024 at Criswell Funeral Home Chapel; Chaplain Paul Jones will officiate.  Burial will follow at Pontotoc Cemetery.

Mrs. Breeden passed away Sunday, August 4, 2024 at her home.  She was born November 2, 1946, in Oklahoma City to Homer Frank and Helen Virginia Holloway Duty.

On August 28, 1976, she married John William Breeden.  He preceded her in death October 19, 2015.

Mrs. Breeden loved playing bingo, going to the lake, watching tv series like the Golden Girls or NCIS, and visiting with her best friend, Mary Lou.

Survivors include her two sons, James Hodge of Ada, and Franklin Hodge of Norman; daughter, Jenny Hodge of Eufaula; sister, Glenda Duty of Hemet, CA; nine grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; and 4 great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John Breeden; three sisters, Jessie Miller, Suzzie Davis, and Frankie May; and one grandchild, Makala Allen.

Bearers are Hannah Hodge, Cecelia Smith, Mya Keith, Terry Beach, Cody Gossett, and Ezekiel Miller.
