Helen Borges

Services for Helen Louise Borges, 96, of Norman, formerly of Ada will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, March 22, 2021 in the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Steve Wilburn will officiate. Burial will follow at Rosedale Cemetery.

Mrs. Borges passed away Thursday, March 11, 2021 at a Norman hospital. She was born November 29, 1924 in Stonewall, OK to Ed and Elsie Walker Welch. She graduated from Stonewall High School.

Helen married Edward Borges May 1, 1953 in Reno, NV. He preceded her in death May 9, 1999 in Chickasha. She and her family returned to this area in 1972 from Philadelphia, PA. They later moved to Chickasha in 1988.

Survivors include two sons, Jack Borges, Seaside, OR; Edward Borges San Antonio, TX; a brother, Terry Welch, Ada; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; four sisters, Hazel Thomas, Cora Caniff, Emma Allen and Roberta Tipton; and two brothers, Herbert Welch and Fred Welch.
