A private family graveside service for Hazel Marie Scott, 87, of Ada will be held 10:00 AM Tuesday, May 14, 2024 at Highland Cemetery in Stonewall; Rev. David Gray will officiate.

Mrs. Scott passed away Friday, May 10, 2024 in Ada.  She was born January 24, 1937, in Hominy, OK to Algie Earl and Verlie Sheridan VanDusen.  Mrs. Scott received her Master's Degree in Counseling.

Hazel had a giving heart and an ear for listening. She enjoyed long walks, riding her bike, and being at the ocean. She served the Lord each and every day.

She is survived by her daughter, Linda Whitson and her husband, James, of Ada; two brothers, Raymond VanDusen and wife, Susie, of Skiatook, OK and Ken VanDusen, of Lavaca, AR; three granddaughters, Mandee Fowler and husband, Casey, of Ada, Jennifer Dolezal and husband, Dillon, of Ada, and Emily Forgety and husband, Kyle, of Ada; and 11 great grandchildren, Colby, Mason, Carson and MaeFaye Fowler, Jaxon, Jarren and Jovee Trimmer, Aubree Dolezal, Dathan, Myles and Elsie Forgety all of Ada.

Mrs. Scott was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Raymond Scott; and three brothers, Virgil VanDusen, Bill VanDusen, and Earl VanDusen.
