Hazel Marlett
ADA-Services for Hazel Lee Marlett, "Fattie", 75, of Ada are 10:00 a.m. Friday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Mr. Randy Chandler will officiate. Burial will follow at Rosedale Cemetery.
Mrs. Marlett died Wednesday, February 11, 2015 at an Ada hospital. She was born June 20, 1939 in Anadarko, Oklahoma to Elmer and Ruby Mae Parks Lyda.
She married Paul J. Marlett in October, 1989 in Ada. He preceded her in death. Mrs. Marlett was a homemaker and had also worked as a houseparent at McCall's Chapel for 16 years. She was a member of the Pentecostal Holiness Church.
Survivors include her significant other, Claud "Jack" Timmons of the home; two daughters, Joritia Pursiville of Stonewall and Jonetta Parks of Ada; a step-daughter, Eddie Kay Draughbraugh; two sisters, Helen Pinley and Javita Hagg, both of Ada; her grandchildren, Amber Maxberry, Richard Pursiville, Melissa Pursiville, Stephine Miller and Sean Whitworth, all of Ada; her great grandchildren, Destiny Guffey, Ryan Guffey, Richard "JR" Pursiville, Brayden Maxberry, Mya Maxberry, Mariah Amador and Malikh Pursiville, all of Ada; a nephew, Bubba Pinley of Stratfrod; and three nieces, Jaleava (Snoopy) Tsoodle of Ada, Michelle Pinley and Karey Pinley, both of Stratford.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Ruby Parks; her husband, Paul Marlett ; and four brothers, Lonnie Lyda, Floyd Lyda, Poly Joe Lyda and Loyd Lyda.
Bearers will be Richard Pursiville, T. J. Draughbraugh, Sean Whitworth, Bubba Pinley, Christopher Pursiville, Jimmy Maxberry and Ryan Guffey.
