STONEWALL-Services for Hattie Mae Harjo, 101, Stonewall are 2:00 p.m. Friday at the Hickory Hill Baptist Church, Rev. David Atkins will officiate. Burial will follow at Hickory Hill Cemetery. A Wake Service will be held 7:00 p.m. Thursday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel.
Mrs. Harjo died Monday, September 13, 2010 at a local hospital. She was born July 9, 1909 in the Sheep Creek Community, south of Fittstown, Indian Territory to Abner and Mary Perry Atkins.
She married Josie Harjo. He preceded her in death. Mrs. Harjo was a homemaker and a longtime active member of the Hickory Hill Baptist Church where she served as a Sunday School Teacher.
Survivors include her grandchildren, Ronnie Romero, Stonewall, Nila Rinehart, Taos, NM, and Nolan Miller, Taos, NM; great grandchildren, Robert Romero, Taos, NM, Nina Barnoski, Stonewall, Nicole Heath, Stonewall, Vincent Rinehart, Taos, NM, Laine Rinehart, Taos, NM, and Talia Miller, Taos, NM; nine great great grandchildren; and two great great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Josie Harjo; a daughter, Stella Romero; and a grandson, Richard Romero, Jr.
Bearers will be Ronnie Romero, Robert Romero, Tyler Romero, Max Barnoski, Scott Heath, and Staton Atkins. Honorary bearers will be Dylan Barnoski, Ryan Atkins, and Ian Heath.
