HASKELL HARRISON
ADA-Services for Haskell David Harrison, 87, of Ada, are 10:00 a.m. Saturday at Morris Memorial Baptist Church, Rev. Gary Jamar will officiate. Burial will follow at Lightning Ridge Cemetery. The Chickasaw Honor Guard will conduct military honors at the cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Friday at Criswell Funeral Home.
Mr. Harrison died Wednesday, September 4, 2013 in Midwest City, Oklahoma. He was born May 28, 1926 in Roff, Oklahoma to Ilie and Jewel Grinstead Harrison. He graduated from Roff High School.
He married Barbara Jean Brookshire on February 17, 1948 in Gainesville, Texas. Mr. Harrison was the owner and operator of Harrison Hardware in Stonewall and Harrison T.V. and Appliance in Ada until his retirement. Formerly, he was employed with Phillips Petroleum. Mr. Harrison was a member and Deacon at Morris Memorial Baptist Church and had served in the U. S. Army during World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara Jean Harrison, of the home; two sons, Daryl Wayne Harrison and wife Margaret, Ft. Towson, OK, and Kenny David Harrison and wife Rhonda, Ada; a daughter, Sharyl Lynn Braddock and husband Kenneth, Midwest City; nine grandchildren; and 14 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Toy Harrison.
Bearers will be Kevin Braddock, Brian Harrison, Chris Harrison, Curtis Gathright, Kenny Kelly, and Halen Ogles. Honorary bearers will be Seth Harrison and the Deacons at Morris Memorial Baptist Church.
