Obituary

HARRY E. TURNER JR.

ADA-Graveside services for Harry E. Turner Jr., 87, will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Rosedale Cemetery, Dr. George Warren officiating.

Mr. Turner died June 6, 2009, at his home. He was born July 31, 1921, at Wilson, Oklahoma, to Harry E. Turner and Pearl Coon Turner. He was a graduate of Texas Military College at Terrell, Texas. He and Billie Frank Adair were married February 1, 1948. Mr. Turner served in the infantry in World War II in the Aleutian Islands, France and Germany. He retired after 52 years with the Vernon Company of Newton, Iowa, in sales of advertising specialities. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church and was a longtime member of Oak Hills Golf and Country Club.

Survivors include his wife, Billie Frank, of the home; one son, Harry E. Turner III and his wife, Patty, Henderson, Nevada; three grandchildren, Christi Turner, Christopher Turner and Katie Turner; one great-grandson, Austin Conger.

The family says those who wish may make memorials to the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation, 825 Northeast 13th Street, Oklahoma City, Ok, 73104, or First United Methodist Church.
