Harold Dwayne Davidson

Harold was the oldest son of five children born in Quanah, Texas, to Jessie and Dannie Davidson on October 10, 1939.  He served as the family problem solver and was always the smartest person in the room. He graduated from Latta High School in 1958.  He served in the National Guard from 1956 to 1958 and enlisted in the U. S. Navy soon after graduation.  After serving for four years, he returned to Ada and enrolled in East Central University earning a degree in accounting and economics, all while working part time in the family John Deere dealership. After graduating in 1966, he worked as an accountant for a local firm.  Harold married Linda Clark on December 18, 1965. In 1968, they moved to Carnegie, Oklahoma, to run his own John Deere dealership.  He was there until 1983, when he returned to Ada.  After a brief illness, he returned to East Central to further his education. After completion, Harold taught computer classes then served as the IT director at Pontotoc Technology Center until his retirement in 2008.  He also worked with private clients as an IT consultant providing solutions to small businesses. Harold and Linda moved to Texas in December 2020 to be closer to their children and grandchildren. Harold's favorite pastime was attending his grandkids activities and sharing pictures and videos of the grandchildren. Harold and Linda are the parents of two sons, Shannon (Leslie) and Brandon (T.J.) and have seven grandchildren; Andrew, Katie, Hunter, Luke, Cameron, Aaron, and Isaiah.  Harold is survived by his wife, children, grandchildren, and siblings: Evelyn Hodges of Little Rock, AR, Sue Clark of Fitzhugh, and Randy Davidson of Ada.  Harold was preceded in death by his parents and brother, James Davidson.  Harold was a long-time member of Covenant Cumberland Presbyterian Church where he humbly served as an Elder.
