HARLEY PAYNE
KONAWA-Services for Harley Allen Payne, 68, Konawa are 10:00 a.m. Monday at the Assembly of God Church in Konawa, Revs. Roy Robertson and Steve Lawrence will officiate. Burial will follow at Vamoosa Cemetery.
Mr. Payne died Tuesday, November 22, 2011 at an Oklahoma City hospital. He was born February 2, 1943 in Konawa, Oklahoma to Harvey Young and Dorsey Alma Starkey Payne. He lived in the Konawa area all his life and attended Konawa schools. Mr. Payne was employed at Khoury Furniture for 14 years and was affiliated with the Assembly of God Church in Konawa.
Survivors include two brothers, Earl Payne, of the home, and Charles Payne and his wife Mary of Konawa; two nieces, Mary Collinsworth and her husband Jarrod of Seminole, and Heather King of Wewoka; three great nieces, Amanda Hailey, Rebecca Hailey and Ireland King; and two great nephews, Jeffrey King and Charles Hudson III.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a nephew, Jason King; and two brothers, James Howard Payne and Rex Payne.
Bearers will be Glen Cockrill, Marvin Barbee, Ronnie Bratcher, Richard Mackey, Farrell Rhoades, and Daniel M. Khoury. Honorary bearers will be David Gorham, Bill Barrett, Ulysses Johnson, Jerome Snider, Bobbie Carnes, Roger Phillips, and Lydell Yellowfish.
