Ann Houston
Services for G. Ann Houston, 80, of Konawa will be 2:00 p.m. Monday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel Rev. Roger Miller will officiate. Burial will follow at Vamoosa Cemetery.
Mrs. Houston passed away Thursday, March 3, 2016 at Clarehouse in Tulsa. She was born September 12, 1935 in Sasakwa to Troy and Sarah Doolen. She attended Rocky Point grade school and graduated from Vamoosa High School. She received a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Education from East Central Univeristy in Ada.
She married Bill Houston June 26, 1954 in Konawa. He preceded her in death October, 2001. Mrs. Houston was a 3rd grade teacher for the Konawa School System until her retirement. She was a Christian and a member of the American Legion.
Survivors include a son, Sam Houston and his wife Nannette of Sand Springs; a granddaughter, Laci Stocks and her husband Bobby of Coweta; grandson, Cody Houston of Sand Springs; a sister, Fern King of Konawa; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a brother, Harrison Doolen; and two sisters, Jesse Doolen-Ward and Johnnie Collinsworth.
Bearers will be her son, Sam Houston; grandson, Cody Houston; granddaughter, Laci Stocks; and grandson-in-law, Bobby Stocks.
