GOLDA ANDREWS
ADA-Services for Golda Louise Andrews, 86, Ada, are 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Joe Dixon will officiate. Burial will follow at Rosedale Cemetery.
Mrs. Andrews died Sunday, October 19, 2008 at her home. She was born May 4, 1922 at Stillwell, Oklahoma to James Newton "Jim and Locke Belle Vick Hicks. She attended Byng schools.
She married Joel Andrews on April 22, 1944 at Ada, Oklahoma. Mrs. Andrews was employed as a housekeeper at the Village Inn Motel, and later for the George Braley family and the Mike Smith family until her retirement and she was a member of Oak Avenue Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Joel Andrews of the home; a son, Joel D. Andrews and wife Marilyn, Roff; three grandchildren, Shane Andrews and wife Jennifer, Roff, Buddy Andrews and wife LaDeana, Roff, and Robin McCullar and husband Jerel, Roff; four great grandchildren, Bryton, Brinlee, Jagger, and Maddux; and two sisters, Betty Walker and husband Stanley, Edmond, and Freda Andrews, Arlington, TX.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothrers, J. N. Hicks and Bill Hicks, and a sister, Helen Brown.
