GLORIA BROWN

JONESBORO, ARKANSAS-Graveside services for Gloria Jean Brown, 81, Jonesboro, Arkansas, formerly of the Ada area, are 10:00 A.M. Wednesday at Allen Cemetery. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 4:00 – 8:00 P.M. at the Criswell Chapel in Allen.

Mrs. Brown died on Thursday, January 15, 2009, at her home. She was born in Troy, Oklahoma, on November 14, 1927, to Sammie Dees and Beulah May Wood. She lived most of her life in Oklahoma. She was a graduate of East Central University in Ada and of the Baptist belief.

Survivors include two sons, Jackie Brown and Jerry Brown, both of Jonesboro, Arkansas; two brothers, Sammie Dees Wood Jr., Reno, Nevada; and Glenn Earl Wood, Tulsa; a sister, Estelle Lee Evans, Norman; three grandchildren, Clarissa Brown and Cindy Coy, both of Jonesboro, Arkansas, and Michael Brown, Longview, Texas; and four great grandchildren, Brandon Coy, Madison Coy, James Brown and Jessica Brown, all of Jonesboro, Arkansas. She was preceded in death by her husband, Calvin L. Brown, and her parents.
