IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Glenn
Negri
December 11, 1961 – September 22, 2025
Glenn Alan Negri
With great sorrow, we are announcing the passing of Glenn A. Negri. who passed away Sept 22, 2025 at the age of 63, in his home in Ada, OK. He was surrounded by his loving family.
A memorial service for Glenn will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, November 1, 2025, at Trinity Baptist Church with Rev. David Gray and Dr. Rusty Fuller officiating.
Glenn was born in Los Angeles, CA to Max and Gloria Negri on December 11, 1961. He was the fifth of 7 siblings in his immediate family. At the age of 13, they lost their mother. His Father subsequently married Ana Doran, mother of 10. Glenn was integral and devoted to all his family.
As a young boy, he was fascinated about how devices and machines worked, and wanted to understand the process and parts of their function. He spent many days and evenings as a child to a young man in his "shop" located within his family's horse barn. Any machine was fair game for Glenn. Especially dirt bike motorcycles and of course, the family lawn mower. This passion grew naturally into a path and career of repairing small engines. He was very satisfied by working with his hands and experiencing the rewards of fixing a machine. His joys included the ride in the saddle of a great dirt bike. He was known in his teenage neighborhood for ripping around on his dirt bike, and was purely successful in skillfully evading any automobile-commanded regulatory threats. Throughout the rest of his life, Glenn maintained an admirable curiosity and relentless determination to fix anything and everything, and often types of machines he had never worked on before.
Glenn was a very kind and loving individual and had a gift for engaging people and finding the best in them. He approached every day with gratitude and grace, always speaking encouragement to others. It was his regular pleasure to help someone in need. He seemed to be an "old soul". He loved history and listening to people talk of their ancestors and the old days.
Glenn himself was the machinery powering many family gatherings; often behind the scene and working-it for everyone's enjoyment and comfort. His nieces and nephews just adored him as their Tio Glenn. His humor and silliness fired like new sparkplugs igniting the fuel of a well-tuned engine.
Glenn moved to Oklahoma from California in 2011. He proclaimed to all his friends in California that he was going to do a lot of fishing. Well instead of fishing, he learned to play guitar. He would play every minute he could and spent late nights strumming the strings. He was very passionate about the things he did.
Glenn was preceded in death by both his mother Gloria, brother Mark and many years later his father Dr. Max Negri and 2nd mother, Dr. Ana Doran.
Glenn is survived by his wife, Stephanie Negri and his beloved daughter, Emily Negri. Survived by his siblings, Cynthia Anthony, Laura Linda Negri Pool, Dr. Scott Negri, Roxanne Gunther, and Felicia Merrick; as well as their spouses and children. In addition, and also close to his heart, he is survived by his "gained" siblings and descendants of the Ana Doran family. So numerous, yet each well loved.
It was a gift that we shared life with him here on earth; now he is fixing something in heaven and we will see him again. He had but 8 weeks and 5 days from diagnosis to bodily death. And in that time, he drew closer to God and his loving family and friends.
Though Glenn was struck down by a terrible disease of brain cancer, he never lost faith in God and the gentle leading of the Lord. His strong faith carried him along this short journey. He is now healed and with those that have preceded him. He is now walking the golden streets of heaven.
He was remarkably strong, admirably grateful, and lovingly communicative in his short and last few months. Trust that he suffered very shortly in his near last days and was tenderly cared for by family, friends and the Choice Hospice team.
