GLENN GARRIOTT
ADA-Services for Glenn Avery Garriott, 65, Ada, are 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Edward Ssekalembe officiating. Burial follows at Rosedale Cemetery. Rosary will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Criswell Funeral Home Chapel.
Mr. Garriott died Saturday, July 25, 2009, at his home. He was born October 19, 1944, at Ada, to John and Ruby Skinner Garriott. He graduated from Ada High School in 1962. Mr. Garriott was employed as a data entry operator at Reeves Packing Plant for 10 years and retired in 2001 from AT&T, formerly Southwestern Bell, after 20 years of employment. He lived in St. Louis, Missouri, from 1985 until 2002, when he returned to Ada.
He married Georgia Jones, October 28, 1976, in Ada. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus.
He is survived by his wife, Georgia, of the home; one daughter, Gayla Johnson, of the home; two grandsons, Michael Johnson and Wayne Jenkins, of the home; three cousins, Rob Helleland, Ada, Sandra Overholster, Charlotte, NC, and Maxine Garriott, Oklahoma City; and one sister-in-law, Mary Anne Jackson, Ada.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Ruby Skinner Garriott.
Bearers will be Jim Landry, Dan Zimmerman, Skip Wilson, Jack Allen and Bill Naberhaus.
