GLENDA THOMAS

ADA-Services for Glenda Kay Thomas, 61, Ada, are 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Larry Hawkins will officiate. Burial will follow at Pontotoc Cemetery.

Mrs. Thomas died Wednesday, June 2, 2010 at her home. She was born January 6, 1949 at Shawnee, Oklahoma to Glen and Doris Edna Wilkins Clayton. She graduated from Stonewall High School.

She married Tommy Ray Thomas on February 1, 1970. Mrs. Thomas worked as an EMT, and a care provider at Valley View Regional Hospital. She was also a cake decorator. Mrs. Thomas was a member of Blue Baptist Church. In 2001, she was honored with a Citizenship Award by the City of Ada for helping locate a missing child.

Survivors include her husband, Tommy Thomas, Ada; her children, Tanis Shaw, Ada, Donny Thomas, Ada, and Tommy Jacob Thomas, Ada; seven grandchildren, Brittany Woodard, Courtney Shaw, Desmond Shaw, Desirea Shaw, Isaiah Shaw, Tanisha Shaw and Keagan Shaw; one great grandchild, A. J. Woodard; her father, Eugene Stevens, Ada; three sisters, Karen Shane, England, Tanis Hatton and husband Bobby L., Ada, and Lana Deaton and husband David, Ada; a family friend, Billy Runnels; and several nieces, nephews and other family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her biological father, Glen Clayton; her mother, Doris Edna Clayton Stevens; a son, Steven Eugene; and a grandson, Deshiko Montana.

Bearers will be Bobby Shane Hatton, Desmond Shaw, Daryl Hamilton, Jeremiah Kelly, Bubba Hawkins and Clayton Cooper.
