ADA-Services for Glen Jay "Andy" Anderson, 77, of Ada, are 11:00 a.m. Monday at the Frist Baptist Church in Ada, Dr. Pat Kilby and Rev. John Haynes will officiate. A private committal service at Rosedale Cemetery will precede the service at the church. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Criswell Funeral Home.
Mr. Anderson died Thursday, December 6, 2012 in Ada. He was born April 1, 1935 near the Oakman community to Willard and Christine Deaton Anderson. He lived in this area all his life. He attended Oakman grade school and graduated from Byng High School. He graduated from East Central University in 1957.
He married Wynema Jackson in 1957 at Ada, Oklahoma. Mr. Anderson was the owner and operator of Anderson Music Company in Ada for many years. He was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church and had served in the U. S. Army.
Survivors include his wife, Wynema Anderson, of the home; a daughter, Gina Stafford, Ada; son, Jeffrey Anderson, Ada; one sister, Wilma Craig of Virginia; his grandsons, Matt Stafford, Colorado Springs, CO, Shawn Stafford, Ada, and Montana Anderson, Ada; and two granddaughters, Allison Stafford and Devon Anderson, both of Ada.
Honorary bearers will be Pat O'Neal, Monroe Hodges, Ken Turner, Bill Yerby and Don Kaiser.
The family says those who wish may make memorials to The Ada First Baptist Church Falls Creek Cabin.
