GLADYS SCHIESS
ADA-Services for Gladys Merline Schiess, 87, Ada, are 10:00 a.m. Monday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. John Haynes will officiate. Burial will follow at Rosedale Cemetery.
Mrs. Schiess died Thursday, January 21, 2010 at a local nursing home. She was born October 5, 1922 at Barron, Wisconsin to Willard Marion and Helen Morgan Foss. She attended school in Wisconsin and moved to this area about 1984 from Wisconsin.
Mrs. Schiess was a homemaker and attended the First Baptist Church in Ada. She was a member of the church choir and active with the Senior Citizens at the church.
Survivors include a daughter, Laurie Mettry and husband Charles, Ada; one son, Steven Schiess and wife Lynn, Reno, Nevada; two brothers, Lloyd Foss, Anoka, Minnesota, and Clarence Foss, Lewiston, Idaho; six grandchildren, Heather Farro and husband Jerry, Manassas, Virginia, Shelley Mettry, Austin, TX, Charles Mettry, Montrose, CO, Justin Mettry, Moore, and Rory and Kevin Krien, Reno, Nevada; and two great grandchildren, Cora and Samuel Farro, Manassas, Virginia.
Bearers will be Justin Mettry, Charles Mettry, Michael Mettry, Dr. Charles Mettry, Loy Kidwell, and Mel Haworth.
