OKLAHOMA CITY-Services For Gladys Louise Hackworth McGehee, 83, Oklahoma City, formerly of Roff are 1:00 p.m. Saturday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Revs. W. R. Rains and Gary Brandt will officiate. Burial will follow at East Hill Cemetery in Roff.
Mrs. McGehee died Wednesday, September 16, 2009 at an Oklahoma City nursing home. She was born July 2, 1926 at Roff, Oklahoma to John A. Logan and Maggie Ann Dobson Hackworth. She attended Roff schools. During World War II, she was employed with Douglas Aircraft.
She married L. P. "Rusty" McGehee on September 23, 1946 at Stockton, California. He preceded her in death on November 17, 1987 in Roff, Oklahoma. Mrs. McGehee was a homemaker and was a manager of Payless Shoes in Amarillo, Texas for 15 years. She retired in 1982. After retirement, she and her husband returned to Roff after living 32 years in Amarillo. She was a member of the First Lutheran Church in Ada.
Survivors include a son, Doug McGehee and his wife Linda, Winterville, North Carolina; a daughter, Debbie Willingham, Oklahoma City; four grandsons, Chad McGehee, Bart Willingham and his wife Tracey, David Willingham and his wife Kristen, and Patrick Willingham and his wife Crystal; a great granddaughter, Kalyn Ann Willingham; and a special friend, Neil McClure.
She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Kalyn Louise Willingham, her parents, four sisters, Ruby Williams, Opal Hill, Jewel Crawford and Pearl West, and brothers, Leroy Hackworth and baby boy Hackworth.
Bearers will be her grandsons, Bart Willingham, Chad McGehee, David Willingham, Patrick Willingham, and nephews, Dusty West and Larry West.
