Giles Terry
Services for Giles Wayne Terry, 78, of Oil Center are 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 23, 2025, at Oil Center Pentecostal Holiness Church; Rev. Ron Gadberry will officiate. Burial will follow at Box X Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Monday at Criswell Funeral Home.
Mr. Terry passed away December 19th, 2025, at home surrounded by his family. He was born May 29th, 1947, in Ada to A.C. Terry and Dorothy Nelson Terry. He attended Summers Chapel and Vanoss Schools. He served in the Oklahoma National Guard for 6 years. He owned and operated a cross-country heavy hauler and traveled 48 states including Alaska. He later owned and operated Terry's Tank Truck Service, then went on to open Main Street Auto Parts for 9 years. He later went to work for Solo Cup as a machinist for 17 years until he retired.
On August 25th, 1973, he married Joan Farmer. They shared 30 wonderful years before she preceded him in death May 27th, 2003. On October 26th, 2013, he married Louann Korzan in Stratford, OK.
He enjoyed playing music and played in the Peach Tree Opry Band at Stratford for 20 years. He was a member of the American Legion. He and Louann attended Oil Center Pentecostal Holiness Church where they played music together along with several others.
Giles was preceded in death by his parents, A.C. Terry and Dorothy Terry, brothers, Shelby Terry, and Arthur Terry.
He is survived by his wife, Louann Terry, of the home; daughter, Vanessa Hensley and husband, Steve, of Oil Center; son, Wesley Terry and significant other, Theresa Hensley, of Ada; brothers, Gailen Terry and wife, Cheryl, of Oil Center; Joe Terry and wife, Darlene, of Galey, and Scott Terry, of Oil Center; three grandchildren, Dayton, Kaitlyn, and Amber Hensley. Upon his marriage to Louann, he gained a bonus family to include one stepdaughter, Amanda Gustovic; two stepsons, Jason Korzan and wife, Jamie, of Stratford, and Mike Milliken, of Stratford; 11 grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.
