Gertie Marie Nickell's Obituary
ADA-Services for Gertie Marie Nickell, 90, Ada, are 10 a.m. Wednesday at Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Randall Christy officiating. Burial will follow at Rosedale Cemetery.
Mrs. Nickell died Friday, Jan. 25, 2013, at an Ada care center. She was born Feb. 26, 1922, to Charles and Dollie Deaton Laughlin at Steedman. She attended Conway Schools and was a retired sales clerk, working at several Ada businesses. She attended Union Valley Baptist Church.
She and A.C. "Nick" Nickell were married July 8, 1945. He died in November 1977.
Survivors include two sons, Mike Nickell and wife Deborah, Shawnee and Larry Nickell and wife Janet, Ada; one sister Lorene Toby, Fittstown; grandchildren, Kevin and Lisa Nickell, Janette and Marty New, Angela and Shane Hodge and Amber and Brian Parsons; and 10 great-grandchildren.
