Gerald "Bolo" Harjo

Services for Gerald "Bolo" Harjo, 62, of Ada are 2:00 p.m. Friday at the Spring Baptist Church near Sasakwa, Revs. Kellos Walker, Frank Moppin, Jay Downy and Houston Tiger will officiate. Burial will follow at Spring Cemetery.

Mr. Harjo passed away Tuesday, October 2, 2018 at his home. He was born August 29, 1956 at Oklahoma City to Richard Bon and Louise Burgess Harjo. He attended Sasakwa schools and graduated from Sasakwa High School. He also attended Bacone College.

He married Elaine "Kim" Harjo June 30, 2018. Mr. Harjo was an interior fabricator for airplanes and he was a member of Spring Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Elaine "Kim" Harjo, of the home; his mother, Louise Harjo; sons, Jim Bob Sandfur, Brandon Gerald Harjo and fiancé, Cara Fowler, Brent Bon Harjo, Randall Craig Harjo and Stanley Dean Harjo; his daughters, Nakitta Faye Harjo and financé, Brian Anderson, Twilia Wise, Alisha Fayelyn Harjo and Vanessa Wise; a brother, Richard "Buster" Bon; three sisters, Geraldine Harjo, Ralphalita Maldonado and Sonya Harjo; 12 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Bon Harjo; and a sister, Sharon Kay Johnson.

Bearers will be Brandon G. Harjo, Sr., Brent Harjo, Jim Bob Sandfur, Randall Harjo, Marcus Sandfur and Brian Anderson. Honorary bearers are Richard Harjo, Jr., Frank Coody, J. R. Harjo, Jesse Harrison, Randy Turner and Elijah Harjo.
