GEORGE TURNER, JR.
ADA-Services for George Newton Turner, Jr., 65, Ada, are 10:00 a.m. Friday in the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Bob Langston will officiate. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mr. Turner died Thursday, August 12, 2010 at his home. He was born September 12, 1944 at Ada, Oklahoma to George N. Turner, Sr. and Ida May Vanschuyver Turner. He graduated from Hill City High School in Hill City, Kansas and attended college in Nebraska.
He was employed with the railroad in Nebraska and also a meat packing plant in the box shop and had served in the U. S. Navy in the mid 1960's.
Survivors include a daughter, Melissa Ann Turner, R. N., of McAllen, Texas; a brother, Kenneth Turner and wife Lana, Ada; his uncles and aunts, J. W. Turner, Ada, William Turner, Ada, Norvel Turner, Ada, Jessie Mae Robertson, Ada, Doil Turner, Ada, and Novella Gibson, Oklahoma City; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Darla Phillips.
