George Taylor

Memorial service will be held at a later date for George Roy Taylor, 83, of Ada.

Mr. Taylor died Wednesday, September 16, 2020 at his home. He was born January 9, 1937 in Saskatchewan, Canada to Arthur Taylor. He came to this area in 2012 from Las Vegas, NV.

He married Barbara Villa in Chicago, IL 1967. She preceded him in death in 2017. Mr. Taylor served in the U. S. Army for 22 years, was of the Episcopal faith, enjoyed riding his lawnmowing, playing the lottery and collecting trains.

Survivors include two daughters, Debbie Schnitker and husband Denny of Ada and Cheryl Pickens and husband Richard, Dallas, TX; three grandsons, Nicholas Pickens, Wilmer, TX, Brian Pickens and Jessica, Dallas, TX and Joseph Pickens and JJ, Dallas, TX; seven great-grandchildren; and nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; one sister; and one brother.
