Services for George Evert Patterson, 78, of Ada are 2:00 p.m. Friday, May 17, 2024 at the Southwest church of Christ, David Dirrim will officiate. Burial will follow Oakman Cemetery. The Chickasaw Honor Guard will conduct military honors at the cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Thursday at Criswell Funeral Home.

Mr. Patterson passed away Sunday, May 12, 2024 at the VA Center in Ardmore. He was born December 16, 1945 at Britton, OK to E. E. and Dorothy Irwin Patterson. He received a Bachelor of Science Degree from East Central University. While he was in college, he started his first business. Mr. Patterson served in the U. S. Navy as an AMS II. He served two tours in Vietnam.

He married Malinda Sanders December 26, 1962. He was the owner/operator of Patterson Enterprises. George established several businesses throughout his life, was a 42-year member of the Ada Elks Lodge and a member of Southwest church of Christ.

Survivors include his wife, Malinda Patterson, of the home; three daughters, Lori Burge and husband Scott of Florida, Sandy Hudson of Texas and Elizabeth Patterson of Oklahoma; a son, George Patterson II of Oklahoma; a sister, Ardith Sumpter and husband Wade of Oklahoma; six grandchildren Jessica Cordt, Clara Ellis, Clay Patterson and wife Ashlen, Beverly Kennedy, Kalista Patterson and Braylon Ellis; and six great-grandchildren, Isabella Cordt, Salem Chapman, Abbott Cordt, Edy-Grace Cordt, Carden Evert Patterson and Campbell Cordt.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and a granddaughter, Jennifer Chapman.

Bearers will be Bart Donaghey, Ron Sales, Glenn Jones, Jonathon Jones, Clay Patterson and Randy Parks.
