GEORGE MARION
ADA-Services for George Cornelius Marion, 80, of Ada are 1:00 p.m. Thursday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Adrian Pollard will officiate. A service will be 11:00 a.m. Friday at the Methodist Church in Mulhall, Oklahoma. Burial will be at Lyons Cemetery near Mulhall.
Mr. Marion died Sunday, October 27, 2013 at a Pauls Valley nursing home. He was born August 18, 1933 in Hennessey, Oklahoma to John Andrew and Ruby Inez Mott Marion.
He married Nadine E. Fox on April 24, 1987. Mr. Marion was a construction worker building new homes and later a heavy equipment operator in Logan and Pontotoc Counties.
Survivors include his wife, Nadine Marion, of the home; four daughters, Peggy Sowell and her husband Michael of Wichita, KS, Sandra Marion of Atlanta, KS, Connie Tillery of Ada, and Stacy Jo Marion of Shell Knob, MO; two sons, George C. Marion, Jr. and wife Denise, Wichita, KS, and Mark Marion of Wichita, KS; a stepson, Lloyd Lee Fox of Ada; one brother, John Marion and wife Dorothy of Mulhall; 14 grandchildren; and 21 great grandchildren.
Bearers will be Martin Laurie, Rob Hood, Michael Miller, Daniel Bye, Jason Fritts and Hunter Conklin.
