REV. GEORGE CARSON
ADA-Services for Rev. George Raymond Carson, 77, of Ada, are 1:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Abundant Life Tabernacle. Dr. Ed Fugger will officiate, assisted by Steve Ely. Burial will follow at Rosedale Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Tuesday at Criswell Funeral Home.
Rev. Carson died Friday, December 7, 2012 in Ada. He was born June 14, 1935 in Prague, Oklahoma to George William and Edith Jaggars Carson. He attended McAlester grade school and graduated from Granite High School.
He married Omega Sprouse on October 19, 1963. He and his family moved to Ada in 1965 from Oklahoma City. Rev. Carson was the pastor of Abundant Life Tabernacle from 1970 to the present. He was formerly a barber here in Ada for many years.
Survivors include his wife, Omega Carson, of the home; two daughters, Raeanne Carson, Ada, and Renee Deering and husband Brad, Fort Worth, TX; a brother, Ed Carson and wife Jan, Alamo, TX; one sister, Harveta Gifford and husband Edd, Wichita, KS; and three grandchildren, Taylor Deering, Kendall Deering and Carson Green.
Bearers will be Kevin Reed, Logan Rinehart, Aaron Stansbury, Ronnie Snyder, Roy Brown and Kevin Bowles.
