GENEVA STOUT

BURLINGTON, NORTH CAROLINA-Services for Geneva Edna Stout, 96, Burlington, NC, formerly of Roff, are 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Kent Kelso will officiate. Burial will follow at East Hill Cemetery in Roff. The family will receive friends from Noon Saturday until service time.

Mrs. Stout died Saturday, August 7, 2010 in Burlington. She was born November 12, 1913 at Wade, Oklahoma to Wilford Allen and Annie Walker.

She married Thomas Jefferson "Jeff" Stout. He preceded her in death December 1986. She and her husband lived in Roff prior to moving to Ada in 1942 where they raised their three sons. In 1962 she and her husband Jeff moved to Del City, Oklahoma. Mrs. Stout retired from Southwestern Bell Telephone Company. Upon the death of her husband, she moved from Del City to Garland, Texas where she resided until moving to Burlington, NC in August 2005.

Survivors include a son, Kenneth Stout and his wife Jean, Burlington, NC; seven grandchildren, Katrina, Rhona, Crystal, Karen and Tonya, and Debra and Gary; several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Russell and Joe Allen Walker; her husband; and sons, Donald Leon as an infant, Thomas Dale in 1996, and Robert Allen in 2005 and his wife, Georgeanne in 2009; and a granddaughter, Sherrie.
