GENEVA KNIGHTEN
Ada- Services for Geneva Knighten, 75, of Ada, are 2:00 p.m. Friday at Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. George Carson will officiate. Burial will follow at Cedar Grove Cemetery.
Mrs. Knighten died Sunday, February 19, 2012 at a local nursing home. She was born January 27, 1937 in Ada, Oklahoma to Woodrow Spence and Pauline Gray Spence. Mrs. Knighten lived in the Ada area most of her life.
She married Johnie Knighten on April 13, 1956 in Allen, Oklahoma. Mrs. Knighten was a housekeeper for Valley View Hospital.
Survivors include her husband, Johnie Knighten of the home; a son, Jared Knighten and wife Melissa of Ada; two grandsons, Geoffrey Knighten and Jackie Knighten, both of Ada; one brother, Calvin Spence of Calumet, Oklahoma; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Bearers will be Jimmy Knighten, Geoffrey Knighten, Mike Woods, Charlie Manuel, Chris Jones, and Doug Meeks. Honorary bearers, Glen Knighten, Leon Knighten, Gale Knighten, Jess Brand, Earl Hacker, Willie Brand and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
