GENE WILLIAMSON, SR.
STONEWALL-Graveside services for Gene Thomas Williamson, Sr., 73, of Stonewall are 2:00 p.m. Saturday at Highland Cemetery in Stonewall. The Chickasaw Honor Guard will conduct military honors at the cemetery.
Mr. Williamson died Wednesday, February 26, 2014 at his home. He was born July 16, 1940 in Owl Creek, Oklahoma to Chester Arthur Williamson and Rebecca Letha Flowers Williamson. He graduated from Stonewall High School.
Mr. Williamson was employed in the oilfield industry for Christian Incorporated and CKC Well Service. He also was employed at Curtis and Guinn Surveying. Mr. Williamson was also owner of Williamson Tavern.
Mr. Williamson served in the United States Army, and was honorably discharged.
Mr. Williamson was married May 10, 1963 to Gertrude Beatrice "Bea" Williamson who preceded him in death on February 10, 2003.
Survivors include three sons, Tommy Williamson of Stonewall, Rusty Williamson of Stonewall, and Randy Williamson and wife Lacy of Gerty; two brothers, Chester Williamson and wife Phyllis of Stonewall, and Billy Ray Williamson and wife Sandy of Muskogee; one sister, Wanda Benton of Stonewall; and grandson, Trent Fronterhouse of Gerty; and numerous nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; and a brother-in-law, Jerome Benton.
Bearers include Rusty Williamson, Randy Williamson, David Bingham, Leroy Daniel, Jim Goss and Murray Braum.
