Gene Standridge

Services for Elmer Gene Standridge, 87, of Ada are 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 13, 2020 at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Joe Nemecek will officiate. Burial will follow at Rosedale Cemetery.

Mr. Strandridge passed away Thursday, October 8, 2020 at his son's home. He was born August 21, 1933 at Oil Center to Elmer Melvin and Floy Lillian Adams Standridge.

He married Ruby Pearl Wofford June 12, 1964. She preceded him in death February 8, 2017 at Ada. Mr. Standridge was the owner and operator of Gene's Gas Station in Ada for many years.

Survivors include two sons, Michael Gene Standridge, Ada and Jim Standridge and wife Vicky, Pauls Valley; four grandchildren, Christie Smith, Oklahoma City, Kimberly Lee, Ada, Joe Standridge and wife Brandy, Valliant, and Jennifer Hampton and husband Will, Paoli; his great-grandchildren, Asiza Standridge, Bryce smith, Kennedy Smith, Jaren Standridge, Abby Standridge, Jacelyn Hampton, Jada Hampton, Makaila Myers-Hampton, Ethan Hampton, Josh Hampton and Dustin Woods; two great-great grandchildren; and a sister, Shirley Sloan, Bethany.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; two sons, Kenny Wayne Standridge and Ronnie Gene Standridge; a half-brother, Avris Thompson; and sister, Greetith Bethune.

Bearers will be Jaren Standridge, Bryce Smith, Chris Teel, Alan Winton, William Hampton and Jeff Ward. Honorary bearers will be Dale Pool, Colton Browning, Chisilm Lee, Kenneth Shaw and Tony Nemecek.
