GARY WILSON

ADA-Services for Gary Lee Wilson, 60, Ada, are 2:00 p.m .Thursday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Drew Isaacs will officiate. Burial will follow at Oakman Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Criswell Funeral Home. The Chickasaw Honor Guard will conduct military honors at the cemetery.

Mr. Wilson died Sunday, April 18, 2010 at a local hospital. He was born December 5, 1949 at New Orleans, Louisiana to Glen and Juanita Carpenter Wilson. He lived all his life in this area and graduated from Byng High School in 1968. He also graduated from OSU Okmulgee Tech.

He married Gayla Atwood on February 13, 2003 at Ft. Smith, Arkansas. Mr. Wilson taught auto-body collision at San Jacinto College in Houston, Texas and had served in the U. S. Navy for four years.

Survivors include his wife, Gayla Wilson, of the home; two daughters, Charity Sharp and husband Rob, Midwest City, and Heather Nickell and husband Chris, Ada; three sons, Chris Wilson, Tulsa, Cody Wilson and wife Bethany, Ada, and Chad Atwood and wife Marcy, Browns Mills, New Jersey; five grandchildren, Michael Sharp, Brooklyn Nickell, Robert Atwood, Alexis Atwood, and Rebecca Atwood; one brother, Richard Wilson, Ada; and a sister, Glenda Roley, Tulsa.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Bearers will be Chris Wilson, Cody Wilson, Chris Atwood, Ryan Nickell, John Carpenter and Tyler Carpenter. Honorary bearers will be Lloyd Hatley and Bob Raine.
