GARY SIMS
ADA-Memorial services for Gary Leroy Sims, 63, Ada, are 10:00 a.m. Thursday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Bud Ross will officiate.
Mr. Sims died Monday, December 7, 2009 at a local hospital. He was born December 4, 1946 at Ada, Oklahoma to Leroy and Novella Harrison Sims. He graduated from Ada High School and attended Southeastern University in Durant for three years.
Mr. Sims was a part finisher for Flex-N-Gate (formerly known as General Tire and J. P. Emco) for many years. He was a member of the Monuments Band and had served in the U. S. Army National Guard for 18 years.
Survivors include two sons, Jay Owens and wife Lori, Ada, and Lonnie Sims and wife Lea Ann, Jenks; two daughters, Deedy Penldley, Friendswood, TX, and Ange Sims, Arlington, TX; two sisters, Jenny Low, Eufaula and Linda Lloyd, Houston, TX; one brother, Larry Sims, Ada; and two grandchildren, Laney Sims and Sydney Strumila.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
