GARY GRANT
ADA-Services for Gary Gene Grant, 67, of Ada, are 10:00 a.m. Monday at the Gateway Church in Ada, Rev. Jesse Rodgers will officiate. Burial will follow at Rosedale Cemetery. The Chickasaw Honor Guard will conduct military honors at the cemetery.
Mr. Grant died Thursday, May 15, 2014 at his home. He was born August 23, 1946 at Gramby, Missouri to Roger and Dolly Whitaker Grant. He graduated from Gramby, Missouri High School.
He married Linda Kay Fennell on November 15, 1969 in Fitzhugh. Mr. Grant was employed with Frisco & Burlington Northern Railroad until his retirement. He was a member of Gateway Church and had served in the U. S. Navy during the Vietnam Era.
Survivors include his wife, Linda Grant, of the home; his children, Eric Roger Grant and his wife Tyrra, Amber Grant and Abby Lynn Thoma and her husband Matthew, all of Ada; two brothers, Charles Smith and his wife Henryetta of Springfield, MO, and Larry Grant and his wife Teresa of Kansas City, MO; two sisters, Marcella Carnes and her husband Lonnie of Monett, MO and Debbie Bolin and her husband Steve of Mt. Vernon, MO; and four grandchildren, Owen Grant, Peyton Grant, Liam Grant and Kytelynn Thoma.
Bearers will be Michael Wallace, Jamie McCormick, Marshall Fennell, Jr., Jalen Jessepe, Alex Thompson and Owen Grant.
