GAIL BLANKENSHIP
ADA-Services for Gail Blankenship, 89, Ada, are 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Steve Wilburn will officiate. Burial will follow at Rosedale Cemetery.
Mr. Blankenship died Saturday, October 15, 2011 at an assisted living center in Edmond. He was born July 28, 1922 in Ada, Oklahoma to Charles and Retta Jane Stewart Blankenship. He graduated from McLish High School.
He married Ivaleta Roberts on July 29, 1950 in Sherman, Texas. She preceded him in death on December 8, 2003 in Edmond. Mr. Blankenship was the owner and mechanic of Blankenship Garage. He was of the Baptist faith and had served in the U. S. Army during World War II.
Survivors include a son, Rony Blankenship and his wife Misty of Edmond; a daughter, Leah Moore and her husband Luther of Ponca City; a sister, Opal Boswell of Ft. Worth, TX; and five grandchildren, Bryan Blankenship and his wife Christy of Oklahoma City, Scott Blankenship of Stillwater, Nick Blankenship of Edmond, Amanda Moore of Phoenix, AZ, and Matthew Moore and his wife Laura of Anchorage, Alaska.
Bearers will be Johnnie Boring, Ronnie West, Glen Gouge, Jr., Bryan Blankenship, Scott Blankenship, and Matthew Moore.
